Her career path is focused on clinical research in Primary Care. She has solid academic training in methodology, bibliography and statistical analysis. Since 2002, her research has been directed at Gestational Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus, Multimorbidity and Polypathology. She has taken part in many research projects with competitive funding, as both a Principal Investigator and a collaborator and is a member of national research groups.

She also carries out other activities such as undergraduate teaching on the Bachelor’s Degree in Medicine (as an associate professor in the Medicine Department since 2007 imparting three subjects) and postgraduate teaching in Research Methodology and in the Primary Care body of knowledge together with her clinical research.

The above-described activities are supported by routine work at her office, focused on clinical efficacy, and as a continuous source of research questions.
